About Job Profile

Support and office management

As a deputy manager, you are an executive-level employee who works directly under the supervision of a manager, assisting them in their day-to-day duties. You are involved in large-scale planning and the execution of initiatives. You aid in coordination between various departments to ensure things run smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities include

Program Management:

  • Direct and enhance the vocational education program within Gujarat, ensuring its alignment with the broader educational objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with State Government Education bodies to strategize, implement, and assess vocational education initiatives, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Spearhead the Monitoring & Information System, facilitating real-time tracking, efficient data collection, and robust reporting mechanisms.
  • Develop and refine monitoring frameworks at both the organizational and educational department levels, ensuring the program's effectiveness and timely execution.

 

Strategic Documentation:

  • Prepare and manage essential documents, including official correspondences, project proposals, presentations, and detailed reports, ensuring clarity and precision.

 

Financial Planning:

  • Strategize and allocate budget resources for the vocational education segments under the Samagra Shiksha and Lend A Hand India initiatives.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Lead and organize pivotal meetings and events, engaging a spectrum of stakeholders to foster collaborative success.
  • Liaise with various entities, including the Samagra Shiksha, educational bodies, skill development sectors, and vocational training providers to enrich the vocational education landscape.

 

Advocacy and Networking:

  • Actively network and collaborate with NGOs and other organizations to champion the cause of universal, quality vocational education in Gujarat
  • Offer consistent guidance and support to schools, aiding in the practical implementation of vocational training programs.

 

Continuous Learning and Collaboration:

  • Stay abreast of relevant government schemes and industry trends to enhance the program's relevance and impact.
  • Work synergistically with other teams and programs within the organization to share insights, learnings, and best practices.

 

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

  • Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Proven experience in managing government or CSR projects, establishing partnerships, and navigating public policy landscapes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team management and engagement with educational stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proficient in developing monitoring frameworks, managing programs, and crafting strategic documents such as proposals and SOPs.
  • Exceptional communication abilities in English and Gujarati, adept at conveying complex concepts and fostering meaningful collaborations.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft & Google Suite for data analysis and documentation, with a knack for creating impactful presentations and reports.
  • Willingness to travel across the city and state reflects a commitment to hands-on program management.
  • Expertise in data management, with a strong foundation in Excel and data visualization tools to support informed decision-making.
  • Effective negotiation skills, particularly in interacting with educational institutions, industry players, and government officials.
