Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Communication and Documentation Associate (CDA) based at Guwahati, Assam under PRERANA project. The position will report to the Chief of Party (CoP).

This position will be primarily responsible for supporting in development of various communications products, developing content, managing program social media accounts as well as program documentation and managing knowledge management repositories.

Primary Responsibilities include

  • Ensure all communication adheres to the approved branding and marking plan
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders both internal and external for strengthening external communications.
  • Support in creating content for social media and promote program interventions on social media.
  • Work with program and communication teams to identify and capture success stories, and photography.
  • Support communication and program teams in conceptualization and development of communications/marketing material – both print and audio/visual.
  • Assist the program team in reviewing communications material and help ensure that it is of high quality and aligns with Jhpiego’s communications policies and program strategies.
  • Stay abreast with the latest in the communications landscape, with respect to design, storytelling and communications software.
  • Ensure robust internal communication through monthly staff meetings, India Country Office (ICO) notes and newer avenues of knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure that core communications assets like program photo bank, voice recordings, consent forms, interview transcripts, stories, films, ICO notes etc. are systematically archived and regularly updated.
  • Undertake the scripting, shooting, production of audio-visual materials, as and when required.
  • Perform or assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Support in developing/compiling reports, presentations, success stories and other documents for submission to the donors, and key stakeholders including regulatory bodies, various ministries, and partner agencies.
  • Ensure reports, success stories, other collaterals, etc. are branded as per program guidelines.
  • Support program team in documenting consultations, meetings, and workshops.
  • Maintain repository of program communication and documentation. Ensure regular knowledge management of all program documents, including photos, documents, videos, reports, presentations, concept notes, government letters, event reports, IEC materials, etc.
  • Conduct literature review for documentation as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent understanding of youth related issues and challenges
  • Understanding of current social media platforms influencing the youth and adolescents
  • Understanding of current youth related affairs in the country especially in the North-East.
  • Excellent English communication skills: proficiency in any of the other NE language will be of added advantage
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and presentation skills.
  • Some expertise in designing documents will be preferable.
  • Demonstrated skills on communications and knowledge management
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage/prioritize work from several sources.
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to produce documents and coordinate activities independently.
