Anchal Charitable Trust’s CSR Conclave

New Delhi, July 10, 2024: Issues related to education, health, climate change, and disability were the key focus of a CSR conclave organised by the Anchal Charitable Trust here.

The event held on Monday at the India International Centre saw participation of around 25 leading CSR leaders who spoke and engaged in panel discussions across four thematic sessions focused on Education, Health, Climate Change, and Disability. The event also featured four NGO showcase sessions, where organizations presented their projects directly to potential donors.

The panel on education highlighted the pressing need for quality education in rural and underprivileged areas. Discussions revolved around innovative teaching methods, digital literacy, and the importance of community involvement in promoting education for all.

This session focused on improving healthcare access and quality, particularly in remote regions. Panelists discussed strategies for enhancing primary healthcare infrastructure, the role of telemedicine, and the importance of preventive healthcare measures.

The climate change panel addressed the urgent need for sustainable practices to combat environmental challenges. Discussions included the promotion of renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and community-based initiatives to build climate resilience.

The disability panel emphasized the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in society. Panelists shared insights on improving infrastructure for the differently-abled, promoting inclusive education and employment opportunities, and the role of technology in aiding those with disabilities.

The conclave commenced with a warm welcome by Sanjeev Sheel, CEO of Anchal Charitable Trust. This was followed by special addresses from notable dignitaries. Dr Nimesh G Desai, a seasoned professional, reflected on his longstanding partnership with Anchal and underscored the importance of allocating CSR funds towards health research. Madhukar Gupta, IAS, State Election Commissioner of Rajasthan, delivered the special address. Sanjay Kothari, IAS (Retd), former Chief Vigilance Commissioner, presented the keynote address. The event culminated with an address by the chief guest, Harsh Malhotra, MoS, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, who emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in CSR to meet the needs of society.

During the post-lunch session, Adesh Gupta, former State Unit Head of BJP, shared his views on CSR, emphasising the need for better resource utilization. Tirath Singh Rawat, former chief minister of Uttarakhand, praised Anchal's efforts in bringing together CSR initiatives and implementing NGOs.

The CSR Conclave provided a significant platform for thought leaders and practitioners to collaborate on impactful CSR initiatives.
