About the Conference

Foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) are critical prerequisites for lifelong learning and meaningful educational progress. While India has made notable strides towards SDG 4—Quality Education for All—significant learning gaps persist, particularly among underserved groups. DEVI Sansthan (Dignity Education Vision International), a global non-profit registered in India and the US, is committed to fast-tracking FLN through scalable, evidence-driven solutions, teacher empowerment, and strategic collaborations. Anchored in equity, sustainability, and inclusion, DEVI Sansthan’s ALfA pedagogy (Accelerating Learning for All) and Rapid Results models have demonstrated success addressing systemic challenges in FLN.

Event Objective

To convene key stakeholders from CSR, policymaking, industry, and education sectors to:

• Share best practices and solutions for foundational literacy advancement
• Facilitate cross-sector collaborations to strengthen and scale impact
• Highlight DEVI Sansthan’s innovations and research-driven approaches

ESEC 2025 Samman

The Align FLN Samman is a distinguished honour recognizing outstanding contributions of the organisations in advancing Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). Presented during the Education, Skilling and Employability Conference (ESEC) 2025, the Samman honours organizations and leaders whose pioneering work has strengthened education systems, improved learning outcomes, and inspired sector-wide transformation.

Purpose and Vision

• The Align FLN Samman aims to celebrate excellence, increase the visibility of effective FLN models, and inspire further innovation and collective action for children’s right to quality education and future readiness.​
• The honour highlights the importance of foundational skills as the most urgent priority in education, acknowledging the collective leadership needed to close persistent learning gaps.​

• The felicitation will be led by the Global Alliance for FLN, a coalition committed to ensuring strong foundational skills for every child through aligned, evidence-driven, and scalable solutions.​
• Recipients are chosen for their exemplary vision, dedication, and impact in supporting India’s FLN mission, with work that aligns with the NIPUN Bharat Mission and the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.​
• The Samman is presented at ESEC 2025, organized by TheCSRUniverse in collaboration with DEVI Sansthan, during a ceremony that gathers policymakers, CSR leaders, educators, and changemakers from across the country.​

Awardees join a growing community of FLN champions, setting an example for others and helping to accelerate India’s progress towards foundational learning for all.
